    Congratulations to the Boys Basketball Team who defeated Whippany last night 50-49 in the first round of state play.  Jake Schicke scored with 7 seconds left in the game to give the Lakers their only lead of the game for the victory.  He led all scorers with 23 points.  The Lakers will face Rutherford on Wednesday night at home at 7pm.

    Congratulations to the Girls Swim Team  who won the NJ Group C Championship yesterday by defeating Haddonfield for the second year in a row.  Great job Lady Lakers - #State Champs!

    The next Coffee House is Friday, February 3rd.  All students are welcome to perform or attend.  If you'd like to perform, please contact Mr. Henry right away!

    Athletics

    Congratulations to the Girls Track Team who won the Group 1 State Relay Championship on Saturday.  This is the first State Championship for the girls in winter track.

    The Wrestling team won 2 of its matches at their quad match on Saturday defeating Chatham and Waldwick.

    Good luck today to the basketball teams who take on Boonton - the Boys are away and the girls are home.

    Congratulations to the Winter Track team for their performance on Friday night at the Jack O'Leary Memorial meet.  Kyra Velock placed first in the 600 and also in the 1000.  Izzy Gengaro won the mile and placed 2nd in the 1000.  Other top performances were turned in by Laine Seijas, Malcom Fisher, Jared Cooper, and Therese Olshanski.

    The Boys Basketball team won an exciting opening game in overtime over Whippany Park 67-63.  Jake Schicke led the Lakers with 19 points, Tate Gillie added 13 and Jake Marshall poured in 11.

    Also the Girls Basketball team defeated Whippany 44-24 behind top scorers Jess Torch - 13 points, and Krysta Rigby - 12 points.

    Great job Lakers!

    Winter Formal

    The Winter Formal will take place on Sunday, January 15, 7:30 pm at the Rockaway River Country club.  The theme for this year is ENCHANTED FOREST.  Contract were emailed to students by the SGA President, Daud Shad.  Cost is $55 per student.  Contracts and money are due by Friday, December 23, in the Main office.

    Congratulations to the swim teams who defeated Mt. Olive last night for their second consective wins of the season.  The boys won by a score of 105-65 and the girls' margin was 133-37.  Great job Lakers!

    Congratulations to the Ice Hockey Team who defeated Morris Cathloic last night 5-1 for their first win of the season.  Five separate players scored for the lakers - Harp Lane, Matt Kane, Carter Fordyce, Dominic Rosato, and Matt Eramian.  Olin Witt collected 21 saves in goal.

    Congratulations to the boys and girls swim teams which opened the season yesterday with resounding victories over Randolph.  The boys won by a score of 95-75 and the girls tally was 106-64.  Great start Lakers!

    Congratulations to:

    The Girls Soccer team who defeated Rutherford on Friday 4-1 to advance to the sectional semi-finals.  Emma Lenthe scored one goal and Sydnie Savarese scored three to complete the Lady Lakers' scoring.  The girls play Parsippany Hills tomorrow at 3pm at home.

    Congratulations to the boys and girls cross country teams who won the North 2 Group 2 State Sectional meet on Saturday.  Jared Cooper and Izzy Gengaro both placed first overall in their respective races to help lead the Lakers to the double victory.  The Lakers will run in the State Group meet on Saturday.

    Good luck today to the Boys soccer team who plays Harrison (away) at 2pm in the State Sectional Semi-Final.

    Congratulations:

    The boys soccer team who defeated Fort Lee yesterday 4-1 to advance to the sectional semifinals.  Goals were scored by Alex Thompson-Hill, Daniel DiGiovanni and Renato DiBonaventura.  The boys will play in the sectional semifinal on Monday.

    The field hockey team lost a tough match 2-1 to Newton in the sentional final but played very well and finished their season in fine fashion with 12 wins. Great job Lady Lakers.

    Good luck to the girls soccer team who takes on Rutherford today at 3PM at home in the second round of the state tournament.

    The Herd travels to Mahwah for a 6PM kickoff tonight.

    Good luck to the cross country teams who will compete in the state sectional meet tomorrow at Greystone Park.  Come out to support the teams!

    Congratulations to:

    The Girls Soccer team who defeated Dover yesterday 4-2 in the first round of state play to earn their 15th win of the year. Goals were scored by Alexa Sternberg, Sydney Dydensborg, Lyndsay Brauchle, and Emma Lenthe.  They will play on Friday in the next round.

    The Field Hockey Team defeated Belvidere yesterday to advance to the state sectional finals.  The lone goal of the game was scored by Julia Aasmaa.  The Lady Lakers play at Newton tomorrow at 5pm.

    • THE GIRLS SOCCER TEAM WHO DEFEATED DOVER 3-0 YESTERDAY TO FINISH THE REGULAR SEASON AS NJAC LIBERTY DIVISION CHAMPS.
    • THE FIELD HOCKEY TEAM ALSO WON 3-0 OVER HIGH POINT TO FINISH THEIR REGULAR SEASON WITH 10 WINS.

    A reminder to all sophomores and juniors that Tonight, Oct. 25th and Thursday, Oct. 27, and Tues, Nov. 1st, we will have our Alive @25 presentations.  All sophomores wishing to park on Campus as Seniors must attend one of these evening presentations with a parent or guardian.  Any junior that has not attended a presentation must also be present.  Additional information about this program has been emailed to Sophomore parents.

    The State of New Jersey has designated this first week of October as a "Week of Respect."  Take a moment to consider the daily headlines, the political climate, the ways people of different beliefs treat each other.  It is certainly important to give respect to others.   It is just as important that each of us lives in such a way as to deserve the repsect of others.

    Congratulations to:

    The field hockey team who defeated Parsippany yesterday 3-0.  Goals were scored by Isabella Fragomeni, Macara Desai and Isabel Schuckman.  The lady lakers are now 5-2-1 on the season and they play on Friday in the first round of the Morris County Tournement at Montville.

     

    Wednesday, September 28

    Congratulations to:

    The Cross Country teams who both clinched NJAC Liberty Division Champsionships with undeafeated conference records.

    Girls Soccer team defeated Dover 5-0.  Nina Calderone had one goal and three assists and other lakers who scored include Mackenzie Wittig,

    Sydnie Savarese, Lyndsay Brauchle and Sara Monteleone.

    Boys soccer defeated Dover 2-1.  Daniel DiGiovanni scored both goals for the lakers including the overtime winner.  The boys are now 6-1 on the season.

    The tennis team swept Villa Walsh 5-0 yesterday to remain undefeated on the season at 9-0 in match play.

    The field hockey team who defeated Pequannock yesterday 4-2.  Isabella Fragomeni and Julia Aasma each collected 2 goals to lead the lady lakers in scoring. The lakers are now 4-2-1 on the season.
